Prindle Corners

Scenic, rolling hills through Hinesburg, Charlotte and Monkton.

Hinesburg, Charlotte and Monkton, Vermont | 18.2 Miles | 1500ft elevation gain

This ride has a little bit of everything Vermont has to offer and is currently one of our favorites! With 1,500 ft of elevation gain, there is some climbing, but due to this area being all about the rolling hills, the climbs are more gradual than steep. Start in Hinesburg at the Park and Ride on Stella Rd, and from there hop on the only paved section of the route. Within a mile, you’ll be on a gravel road that quickly becomes a Class 4 and is absolutely gorgeous! Wide enough for one car, you will be surrounded by trees on either side and feel like you’re deep in the woods. Pretty soon, the road will open up and you’ll make your way past a number of quintessential Vermont farms, most of which specialize in horses making for some great views. Once you get onto Roscoe Rd, it’s not long until you come to the Sequin Covered Bridge which is almost at the halfway point of the ride.x

At the 12 mile mark, you’ll hit the intersection of Rotax and Davis Rd where you will find Monkton Ridge Orchard. If they’re open, stop in for a bite and some cider! If you’re riding in the fall, we highly recommend a couple of apple cider donuts. From there you will pass several other orchards before coming back down the loop and finding yourself on Charlotte Rd once more.
